The new year always brings along resolutions and big plans, sometimes they can be hard to stick to, but if helping your dog live a happy and healthy life is one of your goals, we’ve got you covered. We can help with the supplements and we’re here to give you a few tips on how you can start 2023 with the best paw forward.
As we’ve said before, we are big believers in the prevention is better than cure mentality, you don’t need to wait until an issues arises before “treating” an issue. For instance, collagen naturally degrades in us and our dogs as we age, so the earlier you start supplementing it, the better.
So with the new year fresh in all our minds, here are a few small tips to help you help your dog this year.
If you’ve decided you’re going to start supplementing your dog with Collar-Gen, Calming, or maybe also another brand (we don’t mind if it’s helping your dog!), here are a few tips to help.
Set daily reminders:
Remembering to take your own supplements and vitamins is tough enough at times, especially before your first morning coffee, so remembering to give your dog there’s can sometimes slip your mind. So give yourself a reminder, whether it’s an alarm on your phone or a note on the fridge, just anything to jog your memory.
Leave your supps with your dogs food:
Store your dogs supplements with your dogs food, or next to where you dish up their daily meals. This might seem simple, but finding “a place” to keep everything together will make it ten times either for you to remember to add your dogs supplements to their food each meal time.
Stick with it:
Supplements can take a while to take affect, and with our furry companions it can sometimes be hard to see when they have started working. If we take supplements we can feel them starting to take affect, we might start feeling more awake, maybe less achy, but our animals can’t tell us if they are feeling less achy. So be sure to keep a close eye on their behaviour and see how it changes. It could be subtle changes like the way they walk. But just bare in mind, it could take a little while before they start showing their improvements.
So whatever your goals this year, I hope you succeed. I believe in you and so does your dog!
